To move Clayton forward, authentic collaboration with the community must happen. Clayton is comprised of residents with diverse ideas, and the only way to engage the community is through honest and open communication. I am committed to building trust through open dialogue and active listening to make decisions that reflect the priorities and values of the community’s residents.
Economic Vitality
Economic vitality is necessary for Clayton’s growth. I am committed to supporting local businesses, promoting the value of Clayton’s charm and character, and working with the City to attract new business. Economic vitality is crucial to maintaining a vibrant workforce and an improved quality of life.
Accountability and Transparency
These values are essential in leadership. Being open and honest with decision-making and being accountable for the results makes true leaders. I am an independent thinker that can collaborate and compromise with colleagues. To do this, I commit to being transparent in my decision-making by earnestly listening to the residents of this community and welcoming feedback. I will lead by example, be accountable for my actions, and encourage a mindset of growth and improvement. I am committed to collaborative problem-solving for continuous improvement.
Public Safety
I know every resident of Clayton wants to ensure that our community remains safe, which requires collaboration between law enforcement and the community. Our police department does a great job of engaging with the community and responding to residents’ concerns. I am committed to continuing to support our police force.
